Clay pottery is one of the earliest art forms found in the deserted villages surrounding Santa Fe. The functional pieces are now considered priceless links to the city's history and are an avenue for understanding Santa Fe's beginnings.
Internationally known porcelain artist and teacher Heidi Loewen will connect you to the past as she teaches the fundamentals of turning clay into art in her sunny Santa Fe studio. Following Heidi's demonstration and lead, you will create a piece of pottery that uniquely represents you. Techniques, guidance, and encouragement are provided with the only requirement being a willingness to have fun. No previous clay or art experience is necessary to hand build, sculpt, or design a distinctive Santa Fe memory.
*Pieces will be available for pick-up on Thursday at the Convention Center
