Ceramic Tile Image Transfer Workshop
Join ceramic artist Maggie Beyeler in a workshop that focuses on the new technique of transferring any image onto a glaze ceramic surface with the use of an HP laser printer and decal paper. Laser Toner Transfer utilizes the high red iron oxide content in an HP printers "ink" to create a make-it-yourself decal that can be permanently fired onto any ceramic surface. Participants can provide their own image to be transferred onto tile during the workshop or play/collage with the hundreds of images that will be available during the afternoon. The resulting tiles will be fired and ready to be picked up (at the Convention Center) to take home on Thursday, before the end of the conference.
